Choosing a Photo for Your Jewellery

Your photo is at the heart of your personalised jewellery. A clear original image helps you choose a keepsake you will love, whether it features a favourite person, a pet or an iris.

For photo jewellery

  • Choose the original photo from your phone or camera where possible. Screenshots and images saved from social media can lose detail.
  • Look for a sharp, well-lit image with the person or pet in focus. Avoid very dark, blurry or heavily filtered photographs.
  • Choose a simple composition. A close-up of one or two subjects is easier to see on a small pendant than a crowded group or a distant scene.
  • Leave some space around faces and other important details. A round jewellery setting may not show the corners of a rectangular photo.

For iris jewellery

Choose a close-up that clearly shows the coloured part of the eye. Check that the iris is in focus and that reflections, eyelashes or shadows do not hide the details you want to feature. Use the clearest original file you have.

How to upload your image

  1. Open your chosen product and select its size, colour and other available options.
  2. Upload your photo on the product page. The uploader accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP and SVG files up to 10MB.
  3. Wait for the upload to finish and check that your file appears in the uploader before adding the item to your cart.
  4. If you are ordering different pieces with different photos, upload the intended image on each product before adding that item to your cart.

Before you order

Check the pendant or setting size, material and chain options on the product page. Small jewellery settings show less detail than a photo viewed full-screen, so keep the main subject clear and easy to recognise.
